Late period but afraid to get my hopes up

I normally have 30 days cycles, today Is day 32 with no period and with some minor symptoms such as sore nipples and today i just felt like gagging when i smelled my toothpaste. I know I need to test but I am looking for some opinions! I have fooled myself so many times into thinking I was pregnant only to have a bitter disspointment when I find out i am not.
